About Judy Lambert

Judy Lambert is a superb watercolour artist with a remarkable control of the medium. Her paintings are original works of art that reflect the outstanding talent she has. No computer enhancement or imaging is used.

The content of her work means that much of it is initiated by personal commissions, and they make the main core of her work. She looks forward to each of these as the next challenge to her creative skills.

Born in Auckland, Judy developed a passion for art when she was quite young. Apart from art being included in her high school studies, she is self taught. After high school Judy’s interest in art continued – a job as an architectural draughtswoman. Further studies were required at the Auckland Technical Institute, where she met her husband, Michael. Once married, they decided that having children could wait, so they set off to see the world. After two years in London they returned to New Zealand and started a family – two wonderful children (also artistic).

Once settled with her family, Judy Lambert started dabbling in floral art and soon held her first exhibition in a Takapuna gallery. Subsequently she expanded her focus to include portraits of people and pets, and she has also illustrated calendars and greeting cards, place mats, and a cookbook.
